It was such a profound joy to welcome the 12 Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies from our B litter to the world! We had 6 boys (all correct) and 6 girls (2 ridgefaults and 1 kinked tail), all 12 were uniform in size, healthy and free from dermoid sinus. Nubia birthed the first puppy on April 26 at 12 noon and the last just five hours later – so proud of my momma queen! This litter was produced with chilled semen shipped all the way from Italy. What a great adventure!
RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK PUPPIES - LITTER B
Meet the 12 new little whirlwinds of our beautiful flower litter! I gave this litter ID names after all of my favourite flowers. They grew and bloomed and blossomed here over the next 8 weeks under mine and Nubia’s loving care. We are immensely proud of all these lovely puppies.
All the puppies are now thriving in their new homes, most ended up in lovely families here in Denmark, but Linus moved all the way to Southern Germany. A couple of the puppies are making appearances in the show ring and a few titles have already been earned! Very excited for the future of this wonderful bunch.
Nubia and I kept one of the puppies from this litter, something we have been looking forward to for years! It was very hard to decide who to keep as we had 6 correct and wonderful males to choose from. Eventually it was decided to keep Midas, the fattest puppy (that’s not why we chose him, though). I have attempted their little puppy stack photos at 7 weeks old (see below) but I do apologise for them not being very professional this time around! I have to improve my skills at this aspect of raising puppies.
